Ahoy Northerners.......
Today is Sunday, November 30 and I am sitting at American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook St Thomas now owned by IGY with Sherry who has the boat looking all tidy at the dock ..... she works very hard to keep the Hinckley looking her best and in proper trim......this IGY is owned by the arabs from Dubai and they have bought up all the big marinas in the Caribbean. I wonder where they got the money!!!!! Thanksgiving has come and gone as we left Road Town and moved down the St Francis Drake Channel about 6 miles and moved thru the Thatch Island Cut and headed over toward Little Jost Van Dyke...about 5 miles ahead. You will see pictures I put out today of Sandy Cay .....
We then headed over to Great Harbor to visit a famous bar/restaurant called Foxy’s only to find that the anchor windless would not work. Have latter trouble shooted it to find that the switch is busted on deck.......I cranked up the anchor by hand 40 feet and we headed toward Sopers Hole for a mooring . You will see pictures of this quaint little town with many colors and a Pussers Bar and Restaurant. This is where we have to check out of BVI customs to head to St Johns, AVI to chek into customs in US Virgins........We continued down the Channel and around St John where we anchored on a mooring at Caneel Bay operated by the US Parks Dept. St John is the island that was donated to the Virgin Islands by the Rockefellers and is about 70% Federal Park. Caneel Bay Resort was part of the Rockefeller estate and was an old Plantation ...Note Pictures. We got a taxi...went into Cruz Bay and checked into US Customs....then back to Caneel Bay.....had a sandwich and headed back to the boat and Red Hook St Thomas. I plan to be here for two days while the Hydraulic Backstay is repaired. Just took it off and have it ready to deliver in the morning.
Hopefully I can find a new windless switch and then we will be off to see mofre of St Johns before going to Nanny ay to find Nyanza’s dock for December.

PS Kevin.......temp today seasonal 78...winds ESE15-18 a few little sprinkles .....sailed down wind at 7 going to Caneel Bay ...jib 2/3 rolled out.
