Guests Visit Nyanza in Hampton

Good Morning from Hampton.......Well yesterday was a treat for the crew. Jamie Taylors Dad...Jim Taylor drove over from Williamsburg where he has lived for the past 20 years and we went downtown and had a sandwich and talked about all his sailing experiences with Frank Zurn and visits to Nanny Cay etc etc. He is 83 and enjoying his life down here in Virginia.
Later in the afternoon the crew got to meet Sherry Burgers boyfriend on the boat who came in to say good bye to Sherry only to find that we would be here for a few more days. Paul Astles is British and has been in the US for 12 years...he is a Hydraulic specialist and is currently working for the Branford Yard in Fort Lauderdale. He has over 300,000 hours at sea and 100,000 of that is Coastal.
Very interesting to talk to...most of these miles were on different tall ships from all over the world....the Bounty, Spanish bark, Australian Clipper etc.
He will be departing later today for Florida.
