St Maarten Big Boats

Sunday Morning.....Feb 22......76 Degrees ...wind out of the east at 15K puffing to 25K....Clear skies with intermittent clouds.......just another day with
“More Tings to do...... one Ting a day, three Thigs on Thursday’s”

Breakfast on the fantail......Coffee, OJ, Raspberry Yogurt with Granola and fresh raspberries.....and a piece of orange.......great!

Sherry says ”Mega Yachts” but us guys in Erie, Pa just call them big damn boats! Took a tour around part of the harbor this morning in the T/T Nyanza tender ....the 12’ zodiac...... to let everyone get a sense of how the economy is doing.......just kidding..... but you would not know the problems hanging around out here being scrutinized by the police boat while taking pictures of some amazing boats.

There are a number of pictures of “Paula Rosa” in here. She is doing the big boat series....a very new 80’ maxi race boat, all carbon fiber, rig, shrouds........need I say more....Mike Preston ...this is what the Nyanza crew needs for the Mac Races!!!!!!!

Happened to be by the bridge that opens four times a day during the photo shoot........saw Timoneer, a 150’ footer coming thru the bridge....also checkout “Starfire” with the Hinckley picnic boat as a tender.........Sherry knows the Captain of this 180’ footer and we are going to get a tour next week......

Yesterday Dale and Lynn , Peter and Amy Lund and Rett and Susan Walker showed up to bareboat out of Oyster Pond......Sherry and I showed up at the airport with a six pack of cool ones to help them get started on their trip. They will be back Saturday and be here a few days when we will get together.

This morning, while I was out shooting boats...Sherry repaired the leather wheel cover that is showing it’s four year wear.........Jamie, Nyanza has a wheel job for you when I get home....

I also went across the dock to a beautiful 1972 Hinckley 48 named SONG from Boston to introduce myself and say hello.....Henry and his wife just returned from Boston.....go to Southwest Harbor every August and are good friends of the Murry’s who live right next door to Janice and Creighton Murch...small world......
