Sluggin up wind and lay days

January 28, Wednesday Morning came early in the Bight....Sherry trying to get the Mothers Gone Wild up for breakfast as the captain gets ready to cast off upwind in 20-30K.
Many stories are surfaceing about Willie T's but it is time to go.......
We put in a double reef and a 1/3 jib and off we go.......Check out the great pictures taken by hotshots of Nyanza out under pro pictures......We had some real good sports.....only one green behind the gills......as we passed Beef Island to Port and snuck in behind the Dods for a little shelter.....as you would have it, we were motor sailing and the engine got real sluggish....captain said sail...we did...
upon inspection fuel filter was dirty......okay....we will sail into a mooring at the Bitter End and change out the filters. No one had confidence in the captain as he stopped the boat dead on the mooring sailing at .2 knots. Meanwhile the Heathers immediately ditched the boat like rats leaving a sinking ship.......the men stayed to change filters and take NYANZA to the dock.

January 29, Thursday at the Bitter End was just a great fun day....see the pictures of David teaching JT how to windsurf......JT and Heather 2 hobie Cating and the best was the two heathers getting great massages at the Bitter End......Dinner came soon with cocktails on Nyanza followed by a ride over to Saba Rock for dinner......this is a great outdoor restaurant with super food....best collection of antigue outboard motors in the world...try the Anagata Lobster.....it's wonderful....we were joined by the Gregories and Party......Great time had by all.

January 30, Friday at the Bitter End...Last day for the kids....do your thing everyone.....David and Heather snorkeled with Sherry, JT helped check up the mast on Nyanza....lubricated and taped..Thanks JT....getting ready for the Heineken Regatta.
Dinner came to soon and we had a wonderful family dinner at the Bitter End with a Seafood Buffet and a steel band dance after.......during dinner I presented Dana and Robert, members of the family that ownes the Bitter End the McBrier House Flag that did the Caribbean 15000 to hang at the Bitter End in the bar with the many other flags.....yes the EYC flag already hangs courtesy of Bill Lillis......and telling Dana we had a wonderful family experience and would return to see our flag hanging high in one of the most special places in the Caribbean......the Bitter End....
