07/12/11 It's time after all the prep to start the journey. Coordination at it's finest...Captain David Block in Picture has positioned Nyanza to arrive tomorrow morning at the Columbia Yacht Club in Chicago with exactly 20 gallons of fuel for the race.
Tonight I finish the food supplies, Tim Mehl my great friend and sailing companions delivers in dry ice two beautiful cassoroles for the race..one chicken, one beef...eat your heart out all you stripped out race boats that eat pizza for two days.
Mike Preston arrives at the house to see the trailor that goes to Machinaw City on Sunday with all the crusiing goodies which will bring back the racing sails. Mike will goof off in Mackinaw until we arrive! Have fun Mike.
Tomorrow morning at 7am David McB, Dan the Man and I head for chicago with car returning with Dave Block...just a few logistics...see you in Chicago. Race day 4 days away Cap Jim
