Party Night
07-15-11 In Chicago……..crew arrives all day and to commence the race we all assemble at Ricardo Trattorio for a wonderful dinner up in Lincoln Park near where we are staying in Lincoln Park less Will Dunn,
A wonderful meal was prepared with good wine and friends. Since Will Dunn was not going to make it for dinner we called Brad Wells (AK Cheeseburger ) to join us . It was a hoot. CXheck out the team shirts!
After dinner our swave crew headed to the Chicago yacht Club for the big party. Everyone was in rare form.

07-16-11 Race day Warmup
Want to tell everyone about how the crew of Nyanza will eat. We have seen a race boat about 60 feet just ahead put on MRE rations just like the military uses….Meals Ready to Eat. Not the Hink!!!!
Tim Mehl volunteered two make two casseroles. One chicken and one Beef…..I will report and these epicurean delights as we enjoy them but I need to say that they were prepared by Julia Joint and her sister Mary Kay Fogelbach …by the time Tim went to do it the girls had taken over. Thank you very much….we will prepare probably 12 meals with Smiths Hotdogs, Ham and cheese slammers and turkey sandwiches with Stouffers Lasagna on Tuesday night if required.
Well we all assemble at the boat at 9:30 to depart at 10:30 only to find Dan the Man BMW Grassinger in heavy pain down by his kidney. 20 Minutes before we depat we send Dan to Northwest Hospita leaving him in Chicago. Later we find he was allright but we could not take a chance. He took the train back to Erie that night. I am sorry Dan missed the trip.
