Well between peelee Point and the Detroit River in the middle of the night the gas hose cracks...fuel into the bilge ...5 gallons. yuck..
Get it stopped ,cut off end but hose is shot.
qUESTION, WHY DID i HAVE A BOAT MECHANIC SPEND 3 HOURS GETTING EVERY PART OF THE ENGINE CHECKED OUT TO HAVE THIS HAPPEN? Ask captain Ron?
Well, Captain Black limped into Bayview YC in Detroit and this morning got a good mechanic to replace the hose.....Boat stopped moving at 2300 hrs on wed and resumed up the Saint Claire Lake and River at 1400 hrs. Probably they will hit Port Huron mid night...wait till am and fuel and then off up the big lake....Huron..a run of
213 nautical miles to Mac City. Should take 32 hours at 6.5 nm. Thats the best I would expect. Arrive on perhaps Saturday night at 0700. Fair sailing to the crew of NYANZA or better said...motor on when required. Cap JIm
