Sassafras to Magathy River

IT only gets better.......the Captain sets his sights on the wonderful fishing village of Rock Hall where Peter Reyburn graciously says he will pick up the tab for our dock.....A wonderful place to stop at high tide... we hit the channel entrance with or 7' draft at medium low tide and guess what......the Captain beached it again....we managed to back out and scooted away from the next debachle.

What can I say "DEEP BOAT" Thank God for the Raymarine 120.

Well...We moved on down to the Chester River and one more time had a wonderful dinner at mooring and a great sunset......Italian pasta with a wonderful beef sauce.....Shariz wine....don't need to say more....Peter and Beans and I having a heavenly dinner on the Eastern shore.Thanks Sherry.

Up in the morning......Yogurt, Fruit, Grannola,OJ,Coffee and Cinnamon Buns......

There are two wonderful people living on Magathy River...Dick Robertson's very good friends and great sailors..Roger and Earlyne Bartholmee.....they live here and Roger has gone way out of his way to make myself and the Nyanza feel very welcome.

Just so you know, I have sailed with this team a couple of times and Roger has organized a number of big time off shore events along with doing a single handed to Bermuda. Really knows his offshore stuff....lots of great pointers and things to do to get ready for the Carib1500.....big help to me.

Well... we hit the wall at Rogers running....he has kind enough to take me up to a dock in a Hurricane hole that we can use going forward....we came back...sent Sherry to the Market and Peter and I went on their race boat at 1800 and helped them get a second....60 boats....looked a little like Erie except you can fly a spinnaker if you want.....Erie needs a way to integrate this.....talk to roger.

Well after racing, Roger an Earlyne hosted all the racing neighbors for dinner...30 showed up...I understand that every week a different family supplies the dinner....
Dinner was not the problem.....it was the extended partying until 0030hrs. We all left with a heavy head. A wonderful party with wonderful friends. Thanks for including us Roger!!!!
