08-21-12 What a great night for Erie Rotary. Every Year NYANZA invites a group of supports who have given monies to Rotary International. This year Erie Rotary raised over $10,00) from our members. Their names get thrown in a hat if you give over $200 and we draw the winners for the gourmet boat dinner. This year we had our President John Blakeslee and wife Jan, John Baldwin and his wife Mary Gail and Joyce Miller and her friend Paul Daniells. Clarke(Hoppo) Kuebler and I were the waiters and the gourmet dinners were prepared by Clarke's wife, a great caterer of gourmet dinners in Erie. Thanks Sue. Well everything went well until yours truly, the Captain after just finishing 200 miles in a lot of shallow water ran aground in the sand cutting the corner into the Penninsula Lake. Result is seen here. Clarke was having a drink of wine when it happened....check him out.....as Captain Ron says " If it's going to happen, it's going to happen out here".
