Pandemic craziness #2 Well what a project it was time to get ready to ship the boat and as always I recruited my best sailors Bob Becker Tim Mail and yours truly Michael Preston Who is in Erie for this summer to help pull the mast apart and get ready to ship nyanza to Annapolis the date was July 27th and they're going to pick up the boat tomorrow and move it to Annapolis here are a few of the pictures of the project of taking down the mast and getting it ready to ship down to the Jabin boatyard in Annapolis where it will be painted by Annapolis gelcoat.Just to give you a little idea it took about 20 hours of Labor to pull the rig apart and get it ready to ship. Prior to that I spent two days packing up everything that would go up on board and on deck sails, rigging ,Zodiac ,engine etc etc The boat is being shipped by lockview marine and transport company based up in cayuga NY The owner Rich Johnson   showed up with a big beautiful new rig and said the trip from Erie to Annapolis was going to take him hopefully 6 to 7 hours. He did it in 7 hours. Someone saw the boat flying down 79 as it went past them going 65 with an escort and then he went into West Virginia and across into Virginia and into Maryland.
