Nyanza to Little Current and Bay of Fine

08-03-11 Nyanza heads from the Benjamins under motor again down thru Little Current...the seperation of the North Channel to Georgian Bay ...only rotating draw bridge in North American still operating....gas ...a hamburger and we were odd to the Bay of Fine named by a frenchman which means narrow bay.....this is the only Fiord in North America. Arriving at the entrance we proceeded about 4 miles up the fiord and anchored....no noise ...beautiful....swimming, dinner by Brandon and Kyle included grilled steak on the outside grill...had not been used since the caribbean...yuck....spuds and vegys...they did a great job.
08-14-11 had Nyanza going very carefully up to the pool....wow..narrow shallow...we made it 4 miles without a bump....happy to be back out of the Bay of Fine we spent our last afternoon sailing off Killarney before we arrived at the Sportsmans Inn...Not what I used to remember....big beautiful powerboats...Inn all fixed up...All expensive Canadian Boats...very few Americans.....sign of the times....
Took everyone down to the outdoor Fish and Chips Stand for white fish and frys....same as it was twenty five years ago and crowded....$14.00 for a huge dinner...Sorry to see my crew leave tomorrow...Doug Beers and Sara Mead show up in the morning to help the Captain get the boat back to Erie. One more week to go...
