05-04-09 Captain Dave Block reported this morning..Monday that he was moving upriver on the Hudson River at West Point...planning on reaching Hop-O-Nose late this evening to unstep the mast for Nyanza's move thru the Erie Canal.
Dave reported that the front that went thru 200 miles of NY had winds of 30 and 8' seas but winds were out of the SE so they covered 200 miles in a 24 hour period going over 8K.....David reported it to be one of the fastest and easiest he can remember....Nyanza should be in homeport Erie later next week.
