NYANZA Flys back to BVI's

03-26-09 Good Bye St Maarten....hello BVI's again as NYANZA starts to move toward St Thomas and her return trip home.....
My good Buddy Roger Zurn showed up for the 80 mile trip back across the Anagotta Passage..we really picked the right night...called Chris Parter and he thought Wed would be better than Tuesday....well we left Tuesday with a North Swell of 6-7 feet 10 seconds apart with wind at 035-040 degrees......we needed to sail 310 to get to the Necker Passage into Virgin Gorda.....on the beam..single reef...3/4 Jib out....moving at 6.5 to 7 knots SOG....very bouncy ride but fast with very bright stars...no moon....
Well today is Thursday morning...if we had come over last night it was blowing 18-20 with squalls to 40Knots.....need I say more....pick your night...pick your luck...we did...
Today we goof off and then move down to Trellis Bay to get Roger on the plane.....Cap Jim
