A great bon voyage sailing party

Captain Jim was treated to a wonderful sailing party aboard Nyanza last night dubbed "Last Wednesday night sailing in Erie for a long time". First to show at
1800hrs was Tim Mehl and Bill Lillis..... only to find me and Rich Ryan, engine mechanic, down below swearing about the battery regulator being shot because the new alternator bracket on the Westerbeke was a piece of Cr-p and had sheered off and
shorted out some wires. Oh well this is boating......
Got Rich out of there...new Balmar coming in a few days.

Rich Merwin arrived with his new International Sales Manager...a great Brit....along with some Woodford Select Sipping Whiskey for the boat.....Roger Zurn and Jo Anna with Wine and Gin and wonderful cheese from Washington State University he gets every year....then the LiL Caesar's Pizza King, my brother Dale arrived with fancy Pizza...not that Hot en Ready stuff he normally sells...and lastly son David....and Bob Becker rounded out the full house.

A wonderful night on the bay....brother Dale telling everyone about where Nyanza has to go in the Carib...Dale has bareboated about every island down there.
While sailing up and down the bay at full speed...6.5-7 the Coast Guard hovered around on their big boat trying to figure out whether to board us or not......
luckly they moved on and the party continued. It's now back to work this weekend...Mast comes out Tuesday and Nyanza is leaving on Thursday or Friday Aug 14 with myself, Mark Kubejaand probably Roger Zurn !
