Peter Reyburn, Capt Jim and me, Beansie, met the boat at Amsterdam, NY, Lock 11. Proceeded through the balance of the canal with the last five locks (the steps) completed in record two hours time between 7:30p and 9:30. We missed the wonderful opportunity of getting a great visual because of the late hour, but enjoyed the dropping +/- 180 feet to the Hudson River. We are currently tied up in Waterford, NY at their visitors dockage. good venue. Off tomorrow to Catskill to step the mast. PS-we learned that it takes three people to go through the locks, two to fend off the wall and the other to drive. We also found out that the new gaff that we used to grab the wall lines floats. I dropped it in the canal and Peter came to its rescue. More later.
