Captain Jim honored with Thompson Memorial Trophy

11/20/11 What an honor....Friday night at the Erie Yacht Club annual meeting with 200 in attendance I was presented with the Thompson Memorial Trophy....In recognition of Outstanding Service and achievement in the World of Yachts and Yachtsmen. Son David was in attendance and Tim Mehl, my long time friend and sailing partner presented the award. Lots of the crew were in attendance and it was very special. This is the major trophy at EYC and I am proud to have my name on it with others back to 1954 when it started. I will scan the resolution and certificate so you can see it.Following the award and the meeting the EYC Bridge and board members helped celebrate with two shots of Yukon Jack.....It was quite a night.
