10/07/12 Well the season comes to a close as Nyanza went out in 45 degree weataher and raced the Chili Race with 13 other boat. The bay being very light and fluky and Nyanza having a very heavy roller furler #1 that went to the Caribbean and back I would say the results were good. Son Jim up from Pittsburgh was the helmsman and I think he had a great time. With Greg Eddins and his buddy Victor on board one more time the jib came in quickly. Victors girlfriend Bernadette made a wonderful Vegy Chili for the competition. Unfortunately we did not place but a good time was had by all. Check out the Pictures under photos. Looking back at 2012 it was a wonderful year of sailing. Taking a fourth in the Interclub was a highlight as well as the trip to the Thousand Islands. Who knows what next year will bring. NYANZA comes out on Friday........on the hard in Erie for one more year. Cap Jim
