December 8, 2009 Nyanza needs a rest....she had a big year...after putting 5000 miles on her bottom to the Caribbean and back and having won the Falcon Cup in Cleveland and doing a great fall cruise...she and her Captain need a rest......the Covers on and all kinds of work has commenced...Ideal Windlass has just finished redoing the windlass...rechromed too..cannnot wait to see it...the maxprop is off and going back to PYI for a referbishment and the new mylar/kevlar main is in the works. The varnishing has started and a few windows will be replaced before she hits the water in early May.....hopefully the captain can supervise after getting two new knees on April 15th..tax day. So from NYANZA and the CAPTAIN to all our friends..Merry Christmas and Happy Sailing....you can find the Captain a good part of Jan-Feb and March at Sunrise Harbor, Fort Lauderdale...looking up the intercoastal for boat rides this winter....
