NYANZA doing the Falcon Cup in Cleveland

080609Nyanza is signed up for the traditional Cleveland Yacht Club to Mentor Harbor Yacht Club FALCON CUP. Started in 1938 this is normally either an upwind beat or a big downwind sleigh ride. Normally it is a sleigh ride for 28.5nm. It is called the race between two parties. Not quite so however, I have known many of the winners over the years and it is a very prestegious race in Ohio. If you look at the winners Erie Yacht Club with Kahili etc have been winners multiple times.Should have about 60 boats.

The race is Saturday August 22. Tim Mehl, Bob Becker and I will move the boat up and then we will get JT, David and the young bucks to help us get Nyanza going....we want to go dead down wind..... You know...set the big Chute...the BIG N....Our rating is very difficult and we need everything we can get. If you are interested, here is the website for the race....more to come.
